TBT Peoria Rewind: Day 1

Best Game of the Day:

This wasn’t an easy choice considering there were 2 games with wild endings.  Going to go with Always a Brave vs Chicago Hoopville Warriors.  A late addition to the tournament, Hoopville did more than enough to warrant a spot in this tournament for years to come.  The Warriors had a 72-59 lead in the elam ending with a target score of 75.  From this point, Always A Brave, led by Marcus Somerville, went on a historic 16-1 run to shock the TBT Landscape.

Biggest Surprise of the Day:

After losing Jaylen Barford to Team Arkansas, no one gave the Jackson Underdawgs a shot.  Well that’s just the way they like it.  These hungry dawgs shocked the 2 seeded House Of Paign, who had overseas all stars in Brandon Paul and Mike Daum.

Moment Worth Remembering:

That Elam Ending comeback for Always A Brave is a moment that will be talked about for years to come.  The game winning basket by Marcus Somerville capped off this incredible moment in TBT history.

What Player earned his trip to the E&J Brandy Lounge?

Tyrese Rice made a great first impression to Syracuse fans, as his 22 points led the way to a first round Boeheim’s Army victory over Forces of Seoul.

One big thing looking ahead:

1. Can the Underdawgs pull off another upset and take down Always a Brave?

2. After struggling at times vs Forces of Seoul, will Boeheims Army play to their potential against a very deep Team Heartfire?
